I’ve always loved working with children and creating a space where they can feel safe, seen, and free to express their true, authentic selves. I naturally connect with kids through play, curiosity, and empathy and I’m passionate about helping them navigate big emotions and life’s challenges. Before becoming a therapist, I taught kindergarten, where I saw just how much emotional, physical, and mental well-being shape a child’s ability to grow and thrive. That time in the classroom deepened my desire to support children and families on a more personal level, which ultimately led me to the field of counseling.
I earned my Master’s degree in Human Development Counseling from Vanderbilt University, where I completed a dual track in School Counseling and Clinical Mental Health Counseling. During my training, I worked in schools and clinical settings gaining experience supporting children, adults, and families across a variety of emotional and life challenges.
In addition to my passion for working with children, I have experience supporting women during the perinatal period, walking alongside mothers before, during, and after pregnancy as they navigate the emotional transitions of parenthood. My clinical background also includes working with anxiety, depression, addiction, body image concerns, trauma, grief and loss, life transitions, coping skills, and family conflict.
I take a holistic, client-centered approach that recognizes the unique needs of each individual. By considering the interconnectedness of emotional, mental, and physical health, I work to create a space where clients feel safe, supported, and empowered to heal and grow at their own pace.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me spending time with my husband and our two dogs, gardening, visiting coffee shops, or soaking up time outdoors.
